Valentine's Day

February 14, 2009, Valentine's Day is when Jason and I got married. That day was absolutely beautiful. We married at Stetson Baptist Church and then had our reception in our backyard of our new home. My husband worked so hard to set up the yard exactly the way I wanted it. I remember we were so very worried that it would rain that day and instead we had the most beautiful sunset. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect.

FROZEN STRAWBERRY BANANA OREO YOGURT CUPCAKE

We found this new snack in a parents Magazine. Delicious! Take a silicon cupcake holder or a mold you like and put a strawberry milkshake oreo at the bottom. Put two large spoons of strawberry banana yougurt on top and place in the freezer. Thirty minutes and it is ready to eat. You can keep in longer but thirty minutes is good enough for eating. Not to hard not to soft, just right. Enjoy, we do!

The magazine did suggest nuts, but we decided an oreo cookie would be even better. You can use any mold. We just thought cupcake size was just enough for everyone. This is not to expensive either and it is lots of fun for the kids to make.

He Said "I Love You"

Baby Jason said "I Love You". It was so cool. It was also heard by someone other than myself. How great is that. He said it only to me. Cool, because you know, I am his Mommy.

what were they thinking. Oh yeah Baby Jason realized his voice was echoing. You can tell Dad and Helena thought it was real funny.

Grandpa Greg's Visit

My Daddy came to visit this week, my brother was graduating from the Fire Academy. He was able to spend a good three days with my kids and see my brother walk the stage. It was a nice visit for all of us.

Easter 2007

My kids are my whole world. My joy is to see there faces light up as they do in these photos. I found these bunnies two months ago and knew that they would love them. They actually smell like chocolate, hence the chocolate bunny. This year I left a trail of eggs for them to follow and discover the baskets the Easter Bunny left for them.

I put a couple of items Helena has asked for over the last couple of months and of course more books for her new reading skills. I also added so things for her to bake; for her new cooking interest. Baby Jason also got books and little tonka trucks that make a race car noise. Grandma Carol gave him a big Fire Truck full of big blocks.

This year like the last three years we spent Easter at Mom's (Grandma Carol's)celebrating our lives and remembering Grandpa Joe's Father, Great Grandpa Joe who past a couple of years ago. Easter was very important to him and so we have kept his rituals very much apart of our Easter Dinner. One ritual that is for the kids that Helena enjoys the most is the breaking of the Eggs. Each person gets an egg and you tap Each Egg oldest to youngest. The person remaining at the end with the less crushed egg gets to make a wish. Helena realized this year she was no longer the youngest, baby Jason was able to tap his egg this year. The other ritual that we do is the sharing of the egg. There is one egg that gets cut into the same amount of pieces as there are family members at the table and we each eat a peace as a sign of "Unity in the Family".

We always leave a setting for Great Grandpa Joe. He was a sweet man who had a great love of his family. He never forgot one person in all his pain. He was someone that anyone would have been blessed to know. Buddy (CJ) as always says the prayer and he never forgets anyone. To include family and friends who are spread all throughout the United Staes. We hope you enjoyed your Easter and the photos I share with you.
